I am a pro-active IT manager with a hands-on approach to leadership. Having worked in various roles within IT, I understand the core responsibilities of most technology related roles within an organisation. This gives me the ability to oversee IT operations from a practical and technical perspective, which has proved to be highly effective when leading projects and tasks.
As a professional member of CISCO Academy, The Chartered Institute for IT, and Alibaba Cloud Computing, I have a strong background of vocational qualifications. This makes me a well-rounded candidate for IT management, especially when paired with my academic qualifications such as my NZQA in Computing, and my over 7 -year employment history in IT. After having completed my Computer Technician Traineeship in the Sri Lanka Air Force in 2009, I have had the privilege to work at some of the most innovative firms with a global outreach in roles ranging from System Administrator to Senior Infrastructure Engineer.
I am currently the Senior Manager, Network and Infra Engineer for IOUpay in Malaysia, and I manage our entire IT infrastructure and various IT teams to ensure consistency in our automation process. I directly supervise our IT departmental team members and ensure our organization’s policies and applicable guidelines are being upheld to the highest standard. This role includes key responsibilities such as planning IT projects and employee appraisals.
Besides those core skills, I have also learned to design scalable and resilient solutions to meet the business needs of today and tomorrow.
